Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] ("DodiJobs", "we", "us") about your use of the DodiJobs app at app.dodijobs.com and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use DodiJobs

You must be at least 18 years old. You must give accurate information about yourself and, if you hire, about your organisation. Each account has one role (job seeker, freelancer, professional, employer or individual hirer). If you need two roles, create two accounts.

2. What DodiJobs does

Each account gets a Dodite: an AI representative that works for you. Depending on your role it can:

• build and keep your Professional Identity (your profile) from what you tell it and from your CV;
• look through jobs in the DodiJobs job database and tell you which fit;
• prepare tailored CVs and cover letters for you to approve;
• hold short, structured conversations ("enquiries") with an employer's Dodite about a DodiJobs-listed job, and report back to you;
• answer people who visit your public Dodite link, using only the details you've made public;
• review applicants for an employer's vacancies; and
• write you a daily report.

Jobs come from employers who post on DodiJobs ("Direct" jobs) and from publicly listed vacancies we collect from other websites ("External" jobs). For External jobs, your Dodite prepares your application and you submit it yourself on the employer's site or by email. DodiJobs is not an employer or a recruitment agency, and does not guarantee you a job, an interview or a candidate.

3. Your Dodite acts for you, within your settings

• In Recommend mode your Dodite asks before it does anything that matters (for example starting a conversation or preparing an application to send). In Represent and Autopilot modes it does more on its own, within the mode you chose and the budget and limits you set. You can change mode at any time.
• Your Dodite only shares details you've allowed it to share. Details marked Private are never shared. Details marked "on request" are shared only after you approve.
• You are responsible for what you submit and agree to. Check prepared applications before you send them, and check interview times before you attend.
• Your Dodite is an AI. It can make mistakes. See our AI Disclosure.

4. Employers and hirers

If you post vacancies you confirm that they are real, open, lawful and accurately described, and that you will never ask candidates for money (application, training, visa or "processing" fees). Vacancies that look like scams are hidden and may be removed. A "Verified employer" badge means we have checked the organisation's details; it is not a guarantee of any job.

You must treat candidates' details as confidential, use them only for recruiting for the vacancy they applied to, and comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and employment law, including laws against unlawful discrimination.

5. AI Credits

• Your Dodite's AI work is paid for with AI Credits. 1 credit costs ₦0.50. New accounts receive free credits after verifying their email.
• The price of each action (for example a chat message, a match check, an application or an enquiry message) is shown in the app and may change; changes don't affect credits you already hold.
• Credits are bought through Flutterwave, which processes your payment; we never see your card details. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are not refundable except where the law requires or where we have charged you in error.
• If you delete your account, any remaining credits are lost.

6. Acceptable use

You must not: give false information or impersonate anyone; post fake or fee-charging jobs; harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone; try to make another person's Dodite reveal private information; use DodiJobs to send spam; scrape, overload or try to break the Service; or use it for anything illegal. You must not try to make your Dodite say things on your behalf that are untrue.

7. Suspension and closing your account

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts other users at risk, or is used for fraud. You can delete your account at any time from Account → Your data. Some records are kept after deletion, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

8. Your content

You own what you upload and write. You allow us to store and process it to run the Service for you, including sending it to our AI provider to produce your Dodite's work. Your public link shows only the details you mark Public.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is". Job information from other websites may be out of date or wrong; we check it but can't guarantee it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, for decisions you or anyone else makes based on the Service, or for the conduct of employers, candidates or visitors. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for credits in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use DodiJobs after that means you accept the new Terms.
